A Parliamentary committee meant to study the Trudeau government’s unprecedented use of the Emergencies Act is stalled as Conservative and Liberals can’t decide who should be on it.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invoked the Emergencies Act on Feb. 14 and revoked its use nine days later. The act, which had never been used before, gave authorities broader powers to clear the “Freedom Convoy” protesters who had cemented themselves in Ottawa, including freezing the bank accounts of people involved in the protests.
